Chapter six

I woke up feeling happy cause today’s my birthday. After taking my bathe I walked downstairs to greet Helen “Good morning” then I was surprised to see a cake on table with words written on it “HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEXANDRA” I saw a small box next to it I opened it and stared at the content.

It was a golden necklace which had a heart pendant. I stared at it in awe. It was very beautiful. Just then I spotted Helen at a corner in the room looking at me with a smile on her face. I ran up to her and gave her a hug and she hugged me back. I asked if the necklace was for me and she said yes. I thanked her for the gift and she just smiled.

I loved this woman. She cared for me I without collecting a penny and I always wondered why? I didn’t want to look selfish by asking her so I kept this thought to myself

She took me out for ice cream and burgers and we both had the best time. Once we got home,I was really exhausted so I went up to prepare for bed. As I was getting ready I heard Helen calling someone’s name”Josephine” then she barged into the room. She then said, Josephine there you are. I thought you would leave me like last time. She ran up to me and hugged me. Last time??

Helen it’s me,Alexandra. Oh Josie stop joking, I was confused. What was she talking about and who was this Josephine she was talking about? Suddenly she came back to her senses but she just apologized and walked away

I was literally confused!! What was wrong with Helen? Unfortunately I was to tired to think so I just pushed these thoughts away and retired to bed. Something was off about Helen and I needed to find out!
